Airplane mode on 3g+wireless and battery life
Hope I don't confuse people with this question. I'll do my best.
I know the airplone mode when it is ON removes the wi-fi capability. Does it also remove 3G capability. I'm asking because one way or another I figure both 3G and wifi, even when not being used somehow drain the battery. Is this correct? I'm just trying to figure out how to prolong battery life when I'm just using the ereader as an ereader, nothing else. Thanks. |

When you turn airplane mode on, both the WiFi and 3G radios are turned off. You are correct in that they drain battery if left on, though not much (the radios sleep if not in use, but wake up periodically). I have mine always in airplane mode, and only enable the radios when I want to browse the book store.
