Missing previews of PDF's
Please, can anyone explain why some PDF's have previews and some don't? Where is some settings related to this? Attached screenshots should tell more. Thanks.

It will be because the cover aka first page was not read from the pdf. This can happen if the PDF was damaged or encrypted or you had reading of metadata from file contents turned off when adding it. You can right click on PDF on the book details panel and choose "Set the book cover from the PDF" to try to generate it again.

Ah, thanks. Generating covers as first page from file is exactly what I needed.
I turned off reading data from metadata while import because I prefer to read name and author from file names. Is it possible to keep that and also generate cover from first page while import? Thanks. Last edited by sunkashi; 05-11-2024 at 05:35 AM. |

No, but you can use the bulk metadata edit dialog to generate cover from files en masse
|
