Given the relative thickness of the device, is there any concern that accidental pressure on the popsocket can damage the e-ink layer of the screen, such as from an accidental drop, from device bumping into books when stored in a backpack, etc?

Go to the Kobo subreddit and search for pop socket. Many people have been using it. I didn’t see any problems reported.
